It depends on the use case. For batch analytics and historical reporting, minutes or even hours may be fine. For live incident response, CDN operations, or game server monitoring, you generally want single-digit seconds. Many platforms that batch data in staging areas cannot get below one or two minutes. Streaming ingest with inline transforms can reach 5 to 10 seconds even at high volume.
